Prof. Dr. Berislav Žmuk actively researches the application of statistical and quantitative methods in business practice, with a particular focus on evaluating the competitiveness of enterprises in the context of their analytical readiness. His scientific interests encompass business statistics, statistical quality control, multivariate analysis, and the application of sampling methods in economic statistics. He has published several dozen scientific papers in indexed journals, with notable contributions in research on the relationship between statistical literacy and enterprise performance. He systematically monitors the use of statistical methods in Croatian enterprises, and his research provides insights into the evolution of business analytics in the Croatian economy, offering an empirical basis for recommendations aimed at enhancing competitiveness through data-driven decision-making.
Prof. Dr. Mirjana Pejić Bach actively researches the strategic application of information technology in business, simulation modeling, data mining, business analytics, multivariate statistics, and structural equation modeling. In her scientific work, she pays particular attention to studying competitiveness from the perspective of digital transformation and information systems, analyzing the role of digital technologies, data infrastructure, and artificial intelligence as key factors of modern business competitiveness. She has published several dozen scientific papers in high-ranking international journals, and according to Scopus data, she is among the top 2% most cited researchers worldwide. She actively participates as a project leader and collaborator in national and international projects, often emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach to research on competitiveness and the digital economy.
Prof. Dr. Josip Arnerić is a recognized expert in applied statistics and financial analysis, with a particular focus on time series modeling and regression methods.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dajana Barbić focuses her scientific and professional work on personal finance and the tax system. Her research, active contribution to education in financial and tax literacy, and the projects she leads demonstrate her ability to connect academic knowledge with practical challenges. Her previous research and methodological expertise will ensure a high level of scientific reliability in the results obtained.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anita Čeh Časni conducts scientific research on the application of statistics in socio-economic studies, with a focus on the housing market, public policy, and economic inequality.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hrvoje Jošić specializes in the field of international economics, particularly in the context of international competitiveness and trade flows.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Irena Palić conducts scientific and professional work in the fields of statistics and econometrics, with a particular focus on the quantitative analysis of macroeconomic shocks and financial behavior.
Josipa Novaković, M.A. in Economics, is an early-career researcher and PhD candidate with a clear research focus on competitiveness and socio-economic indicators. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation, which directly addresses one of the key elements of economic and social competitiveness – housing availability and affordability.
